Certified Voice Artist Program WEEK 3 4 July 2020

The third week of the Certified Voice Artist Program was launched last Saturday July 5, 2020 once again by the Voicemaster himself, Pocholo de leon Gonzales. This workshop was hosted by again yours truly Richard Abalos or "The Rich Voice" and co-hosted by Michelle Jordan or "Toni M" in the morning, and making her debut as a co-host Diane Sarmiento in the afternoon. The workshop ran from 9am - 5pm.

The morning started with Module 5 or Practice, practice PRACTICE!. The industry of voice acting is a highly competitive industry, especially during the Pandemic, so as an aspiring Voice Artist, it is important to be consistent in your practice. You practice by recording yourself, use tongue twisters, and read sample scripts online. Even just by practicing one voiceover a day can get you very far. Remember, Repetition is the mother of learning!

Module 6 is about Establishing your Brand and Marketing your talent. To market yourself effectively, you need to know your VISION, find your NICHE, create a LOGO and develop a SIGNATURE VOICE. After that, you can now market yourself online thru Social Media or SoundCloud. Document all your auditions and sample voices so you have a personal record of your work. You can also create voice files in all the Recording Studios you can find, keep on auditioning, join expos and seminars, and of course do Volunteer work. It may not be paid now, but the more relationships and connections you build, the more you get a chance in the future to build your career, so don't take your volunteer work for granted!

There are so many ways in Marketing yourself as an effective Voice Artist, unfortunately during this Pandemic, we are all confined in our homes and many veteran Voice Artists are also forced to take a backseat. This is our chance to shine by creating our Digital Presence, do not waste this opportunity, have a PLANdemic this Pandemic!
