CERTIFIED VOICE OVER ARTIST WEEK FOUR REVIEW

The FOURTH week of the Certified Voice Artist Program was launched last Saturday July 12, 2020 once more by the Voicemaster himself, Pocholo de leon Gonzales. This workshop was hosted by yours truly Richard Abalos or "The Rich Voice" and co-hosted by one of our voicemates, Kate de Vera in the morning, and also by Jean-Sensei in the afternoon. The workshop ran from 9am - 5pm.  The workshop mostly discussed about setting up your own home studio, from Microphones, Acoustics, Headphones, and Digital Audio Workstations among other things. It is important to have a Microphone as the starting investment. USB Microphones are the way to go, ranging from P4,000 - 12,000. You don't need high end equipment to be able to produce a good quality voice, because at the end of the day, your skill and talent will be your biggest investment, these equipments are just for enhancements and support! After lunch, each Breakout Rooms showcased their dubbing skills by voicing a scene of Voltes V.

The third week of the Certified Voice Artist Program was launched last Saturday July 5, 2020 once again by the Voicemaster himself, Pocholo de leon Gonzales. This workshop was hosted by again yours truly Richard Abalos or "The Rich Voice" and co-hosted by Michelle Jordan or "Toni M" in the morning, and making her debut as a co-host Diane Sarmiento in the afternoon. The workshop ran from 9am - 5pm. The morning started with Module 5 or Practice, practice PRACTICE!. The industry of voice acting is a highly competitive industry, especially during the Pandemic, so as an aspiring Voice Artist, it is important to be consistent in your practice. You practice by recording yourself, use tongue twisters, and read sample scripts online. Even just by practicing one voiceover a day can get you very far. The second week of the Certified Voice Artist Program conducted by the Voicemaster, Pocholo de leon Gonzales, kicked off last Saturday June 27, 2020. This workshop was hosted by Host Shaine Cabardo or "ChicVoice", and yours truly Richard Abalos or "The Rich Voice". The workshop ran from 9am - 5pm. The first part discussed about finding your Niche. As what was discussed last week, being a Voiceover Artist is not just about reading scripts, but it is about finding what voice best suits you. You can choose from Voice over, Character Voice, Radio/TV Commercial, Public Service Announcement, Audio-Visual Presentation or AVP, Radio Drama, and much more! But of course, just like any other career, you need to know your market first. Because the Voiceover Industry is huge, you have to find a specific niche, instead of being everything to everyone. The Certified Voice Artist Program conducted by the Voicemaster, Pocholo de leon Gonzales, officially kicked off last June 20, 2020. The first workshop was hosted by Cheska Carreon or "AttaVoice", and yours truly Richard Abalos. The certification program will be conducted every Saturday, from 9am - 4pm for four sessions. During the first Module, Sir Choi started the program by telling his life story on how he got inspired to become a voice artist. Pocholo de leon Gonzales is born in Mariveles, Bulacan. He grew up listening to radio and drama hoping one day that his mother would hear his voice on the radio. He went to Manila at age 16 to study at the University of the Philippines Diliman to take up Creative Writing. He realized that he like to talked more than he liked writing, so he shifted and eventually finished his Bachelor's Degree with a Major in Speech Communication.
